Apparently my subconscious is more fatalistic than I'd ever thought possible. Allow me to assure you all that my world is not, nor has it ever been, under attack by aliens, the undead, dinosaurs, vampires, or sentient robots. (I don't think I'd mentioned those last few previously-- I considered it rather fruitless to continue posting about one crisis after another after we'd determined that none of them were actually happening. Suffice it to say that it was quite the experience.)

I suppose the upside is that because I wasn't here to use my computer, it seems to have avoided the calamities that affected so many others. That would have been quite disastrous.
